Testimonial Hymn

Mea is a wonderful sister in our Thurs. evening zoom Bible study and after one of them in Dec. she was inspired to write this hymn. She has graciously given us permission to share this with you. Perhaps one of you can put it to music. Thank you Mea, we love and appreciate you.

Mea: I was inspired to write this last night. Blessings. Jesus it is You! I was on a dark on lonely road Life was slipping right through my hands I cried out to You LORD Like dust begs for rain in dry lands And who did I say You are? A force, a power, some vibration I could not know You from afar What a foolish vain imagination But you had mercy on me Still fed my desire to see You kept helping me along I didn’t know I had it all wrong After three years more Reading, searching, not for You Trying to make it on my own Your ways are impossible to do And who did I say You are? A force, a power, some vibration I could not know You from afar What a foolish vain imagination But you had patience with me Gave me everything I need Knew the bonds I was in On account of my sin All my life planted seed It took seven long years Since my cry to no Name. Then my eyes filled with tears Knew that grace has a face Saw my shame and believed You came He said, "Who do you say I am?" And I say, “Son of God, Son of Man”. Jesus it is You. I know now what to do. Give me grace, give me mercy Give me patience, give me seed. Give me others as unworthy Help me show them Who they need. Jesus it is You.
